Why I chose the Industrial Engineering career?

- Industrial Engineering includes efficient use of resources such as people, machine and finance. It is different than other engineering areas with its broad application and working areas. We have done strengths test to see which top five strengths we do have and I have had “Woo” and “Strategic” strengths. This also showed me that I am on the good path within my career. Industrial Engineer’s should have the ability to think outside the box and create an idea. I believe with my strengths I can get to know different people and easily to work with new colleagues. Changing my work place or project team can not affect my productivity. I have the perspective that I can use where others see complexity I see more changes. I want to have freedom at work in order to create my ideas and help others with related to work duties. I have taken Entrepreneurial course to learn how I can apply those learning to my future career. However for my two years plan I’m looking to find work within corporate or small companies to gain more experience and hands on skills. I am always open to learn new things and this leads me to try and make good mistakes. Afterwards I know that I will have lifetime learning from those smart mistakes.

- To be successful in Industrial engineering career the person should know many varieties of work conditions and businesses available for him or her. For example; research and development, manufacturing, sales, purchase and quality control. Industrial engineers are specialize in finding the best solution for the problems or generate the possible solution methods for the work. It is all depends on which business area you choose and later you can customize your skills and experiences for that specific work. If you are better in communication with people then in the company’s, industrial engineers can specialize in the efficient use of staff. These type of engineer techs can analyze the overall work then measure and improve worker productivity. By this way of their work, companies can maximize their profits and efficiency.
